Okay now admittedly I'm not really an anime fan. In fact I can probably count on one hand the number of anime shows I actually liked, but Rurouni Kenshin is probably at the top of that list. In a nutshell, the main character (Kenshin) was the deadliest man during Japan's civil war. He now lives a life of repentance as a rogue samurai. His katana is actually reversed, meaning that the cutting edge is dulled so he can still wield it but it doesn't kill people (Though a large chunk of metal smacking into someone probably still hurts). I hope this comes out in some form in the US, otherwise I'm taking a trip to Japan. :)
